SEA for EFFECTIVE INTERNAL & EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS Working with teams for over 30 years

Hornby – Leisure & Heritage

When Hornby decided to open a visitor centre, they asked SEA to support with planning and implementation. The leisure attraction would celebrate the rich history of toy brands Hornby, Corgi, Humbrol, Airfix and Scalextric, sharing their archive with enthusiasts and the general public alike.

Not only did SEA assist with the design and artwork of every display panel, we made recommendations for the floorplan and layout, using our experience to anticipate how visitors might navigate the space. In addition, each panel required succinct, captivating copy, which was duly drafted by our team.

Also overseeing production and installation of the graphics, this was a large-scale project and was a joy to be a part of. With a successful launch in 2010, the centre continues to attract numerous visitors from the region and farther afield.

Supporting the launch, SEA created the initial logo and communications collateral, including leaflets and a PR programme to announce the centre’s opening, which were featured in relevant local media and national ‘hobby’ publications.
