Hornby approached SEA with a slightly different requirement from a typical exhibition display – they wanted a large scale and permanent solution for their new Hornby Visitor Centre attraction in Margate.
SEA set about a research phase, anticipating the number of visitors and how best to carve up the available space to engage visitors in the different product areas for Hornby, Corgi, Humbrol, Airfix and Scalextric. In detailing the floorplan, it was important to consider a logical pathway for visitors negotiating the space and their line of sight thoughout to maintain interest.
With the floorplan agreed, the SEA team embarked on a comprehensive project to design the specific product area panels, copywrite every panel and create print-ready artwork. Our account management team oversaw printing and installation, ahead of the successful launch June 2010.
In addition to the interior, we created the initial logo and promotional leaflet, as well as helping with a PR programme at the time of launch.
